These banners were designed for, and can still be seen in, the Michael Fowler Centre in Wellington. Despite their brief mandating a city theme, their final content owes more to Crooks' eclecticism. Cultural motifs are largely absent, which is rare for Kiwi art and perhaps attributable to Crooks not being a native himself.
